Wood & Pizza Oven UK Forum

There’s been a great deal of interest in How to Build a Wood Fired Oven recently.

There is a wonderful Forum for people considering building one themselves from Cob and Clay Ovens right up to brick built Pompeii ovens.

Have a look here if you fancy having a go yourself, it’s a great  place and there’s lots of people having a go at building their own ovens.

Here’s the story of how I built my own oven with mostly recycled material.

  1. Marcus, I’m more of an indoor cook myself, but my friend in Arizona has a complete outdoor kitchen complete with pizza oven. He loves it and uses it frequently. Maybe it’s “a guy thing”?!

    • Cecilia, not sure what would be the best option for you in those cold temperatures, but there’s lots of different options, they can be built in a out building, or even inside with the right chimney. I’d love an indoor wood oven one day too, it would be a pride of place in my perfect kitchen.

    • Thank you for your lovely comment Charlie, I really do appreciate hearing from people who read my blog. There’s a lot of information out there on building your own pizza oven, and it can get terribly complex, when in fact it really can be simple and easy for anyone to build, and from what i’ve seen on your post on the living room redo, he would be fine.
Need to do some more pizzas in the oven, as have just been so busy recently.
      Cheers
