Two of my favourite ingredients for a Pizza, NDuja and Burrata, NDuja is a wonderfully fiery spreadable salami from Calabria that’s loaded with chillies, this works in harmony with Burrata a mozarella style soft cheese with an oozy creamy centre and a few fresh leaves of basil, cooked for a couple of minutes in the wood fired oven that I built myself, this is a perfect combination of creaminess and spice, I’ll let the pictures do the talking if it’s ok with you?

I feel a little sad, as I’ve never eaten NDjuta or Burrata!! Your pizza looks amazing…. so smoky, crispy and meltingly good! Living in Australia, I have no opportunity to visit Waitrose but I’ll be scouring my local stores for that salami from now on! Thanks for the inspiration Marcus!

An Italian Deli should be able to source it for you. It’s from Calabria.
Let me know if you do find it please.

Oh boy. Where DO you get these ingredients from, Marcus?

Thanks Jenny 🙂 these happened to be from Waitrose and were on offer, so good value.

Waitrose! I am surprised. Mind you, I’ve not been in a Waitrose for some 15 years or more, so they could be selling anything these days. LOL I’ll have to venture forth and investigate!

You might be a bit surprised, mostly by the prices, but there’s a lot of inspiring stuff to be had there.

Yes, I am sure. I wouldn’t want to have to do my week’s shopping there, for sure. However, as an investigatory odd ingredient shop, it could be very worthwhile it seems!
